Program Directors, Managers, and Specialists are mid-level leaders within hospitals, medical centers, healthcare-related  organizations, community, non-profit and/or government agencies. These professionals typically provide implementation,  evaluation, and oversight of programs and/or departments to meet the objectives and goals set forth by senior leaders and  governing boards. Responsibilities may include hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating staff, working with senior leaders to  determine and revise policies and procedures, preparing and presenting reports to senior leaders, engaging with internal and  external stakeholders, analyzing and interpreting program-related government regulations and policies, and providing  oversight for budgeting/funding and/or research activities.
