Faculty


Faculty have one or more responsibilities in teaching, research, campus service, and/or administrative work at institutions of  higher, post-secondary education. Teaching tasks typically include developing course materials, presenting lectures, evaluating  students’ work, and mentorship. Research involves keeping up with current scholarship in a research area, performing and  supervising research, writing grants, and communicating research findings to colleagues; while campus service and  administrative work may include serving on committees responsible for academic and institutional policies, participating in  student recruitment and retention initiatives/programs, and engaging in campus-wide or department specific events
